Veteran Nozomi Okuhara faces rising star ‘Pink’ Pitchamon Opatniputh in the final of the Orleans Masters 2026, with both players seeking their season’s first title.

Former world champion Okuhara, 31, made her first final of 2026 beating India’s Tanvi Sharma 21-9 21-16, while 2023 world junior champion Opatniputh also beat an Indian challenger, Isharani Baruah, on her way to her second final this year.

Great Day for France

Hosts France, meanwhile, had a perfect semifinals day, assuring themselves of the men’s singles title and earning a shot at the mixed doubles.

Second seed Alex Lanier cruised past Yudai Okimoto 21-14 21-12, while Toma Junior Popov was equally at ease against 2024 world junior champion and qualifier Hu Zhe An, 21-16 21-14.

In mixed doubles, top seeds Thom Gicquel/Delphine Delrue made their second straight final; the All England runners-up needing three games to get past Liu Kuang Heng/Jheng Yu Chieh 18-21 21-18 21-16.

The home hopefuls face Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Boje in an all-European final.
