Qualification & Timeline

The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals will be held from 11 to 15 December 2024.

To qualify for the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2024, only the best 14 results from BWF World Tour tournaments in the qualifying period* will count towards the HSBC Race to Finals ranking. Of the best 14 results, a maximum of three results from Grade 2 – Level 6 (Super 100) tournaments will count.

The top 8 men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles in the HSBC BWF Race to Finals Ranking will be invited to compete in the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals in Hangzhou with a maximum of two players/pairs per Member Association. Reigning Olympic champions automatically qualify.

*Qualifying period: Three tournaments between weeks 48-50 in 2023 and weeks 2-47 in 2024.

Invitation of Entry: Tuesday 26 November 2024, after the conclusion of the China Masters 2024
Seeding Date: Sunday 24 November 2024
Group Stage Draw: Saturday 7 December 2024
Knockout Stage Draw: Friday 13 December 2024
