Following the conclusion of the SATHIO GROUP Australian Open 2025 on Sunday, qualifiers to the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2025 have been identified.
The season finale will be held in Hangzhou from 17-21 December 2025.
Reigning world champions in each category qualify automatically. Each Member Association can field a maximum of two players/pairs per category.
Men’s Singles

Kodai Naraoka’s title victory at the penultimate qualifying event – the Kumamoto Masters Japan 2025 – helped him leapfrog into contention. Despite a second round loss in Australia, Naraoka edged fellow-contender Lin Chun-Yi, who needed to win the title to qualify ahead of him.
Women’s Singles

Ratchanok Intanon had a somewhat inconsistent season, but she perked up in time to qualify in seventh place by winning the Kumamoto Masters, followed by a semifinal finish in Australia. Tomoka Miyazaki too had an uneven year and just about managed to qualify in eighth place.
Men’s Doubles

Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri came together in the second half of the year, but they hit the perfect note. The reward for the outstanding season was a qualification spot earned by making the final of the Australian Open. At the top of the qualifying spots are Kim Won Ho/Seo Seung Jae, who were nearly unstoppable all year and will look to win a record 11th title this season in Hangzhou.
Women’s Doubles

Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan were in great form all through the year to qualify in first place. In eighth place were Hsieh Pei Shan/Hung En-Tzu, whose best performance was on home soil, winning the Taipei Open.
Mixed Doubles

The final mixed doubles spot went down the wire to the last qualifying event, and it was a shootout between Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Pasaribu and Ruttanapak Oupthong/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat in the semifinals. The Indonesians prevailed and qualified to their first season finale.
