Fans of Japanese star Kento Momota will get to watch their favourite player back in action after three months out at Korea Masters 2023.

The two-time world champion was last seen internationally at the Australian Open, where he lost to Jonatan Christie in the opening round. Injury issues then saw him pull of out Hong Kong Open and skip the tournaments that followed.

Momota however will not face Lee Zii Jia in Gwangju after the second seed withdrew. The Malaysian has been replaced by Chinese Taipei’s Wang Po-Wei.

This marks Momota’s return to the tournament after 13 years. His previous appearance in 2010 ended in the Round of 32.
