All England: Pusarla, Thai Mixed Pair Pull Out

The YONEX All England Open 2026 draw has been revised in women’s singles and mixed doubles following the withdrawals of former world champion Pusarla V. Sindhu and Thai No.3 seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran.

Pusarla, who had been scheduled to face Supanida Katethong in the first round, has been unable to leave Dubai due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The Seed Withdrawal Movement triggered by Puavaranukroh/Paewsampran’s absence means Guo Xin Wa/Chen Fang Hui will now open their title defence against Malaysians Wong Tien Ci/Lim Chiew Sien. Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu also move positions while Wu Guan Xun/Lee Chia Hsin have been promoted into the main draw.

Other Highlights:

» Men’s singles: World No.1 Shi Yu Qi begins his campaign against Lakshya Sen. This will be their sixth career meeting, with Shi leading the head-to-head 4-1.

» Men’s doubles: Defending champions Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae could face a stern test from home favourites Ben Lane and Sean Vendy. Their last encounter – a thrilling clash at the Malaysia Open earlier this year – was a blockbuster, and with the home crowd behind them, the English pair may fancy their chances.

Other withdrawals and promotions are as follows:

Women’s singles: Huang Yu-Hsun, Wen Chi Hsu
