Michelle Li will begin her VICTOR Denmark Open 2025 against Ratchanok Intanon after sixth seed Pornpawee Chochuwong withdrew.
The Canadian world No.15 has been on the mend since an injury in June and will aim to build on her form. This will be their 11th meeting, with the Thai leading the head-to-head 8-2. Intanon was originally slated to play Kim Ga Eun before taking Position 28 in the draw as part of the Seed Withdrawal Movement exercise.
Korean Kim now plays Stefani Stoeva, the doubles star finding herself in the main draw due to the same reason. The Bulgarian, who usually competes in women’s doubles with sister Gabriella, recently lost in the women’s singles quarterfinals at the Türkiye International Challenge.
Defending men’s singles champion Anders Antonsen, who also won the competition in 2020, is seeded second at his home event and opens his campaign against old rival Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. Odense native and fan favourite Viktor Axelsen faces fifth seed Chou Tien Chen.
Other withdrawals and promotions are as follows.

Mixed doubles: Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari
